yea somehow cumba made some comparison of how a generic background airship ride in ff11 would be the same as a flying mount in 14, idk.

Listen i just believe that not having dragons in this game sucks and the lack of different monster to kill is starting to get to me a little. SE is can doing anything with this game so its not limited to anything at all. There's a bigger world outside of your normal MMORPG Box. Thinking bigger is what needs to happen to this game !!! lets not limit it.

They are including a advance job quests for jobs just like XI... but to write out everything.. you can look for yourself.

I did read it. Jobs in FFXI = You changing your Class in FFXIV. While here, jobs will be an extension to your current class... you remain a GLD but get a PLD job which gives you some new spells to go along with your GLD spells. Also enables you to equip PLD only armor which gives you better stats for tanking/healing.

think of it more like a talent tree. It enchances your class to go a specific direction, in this example PLD but down the road if you rather be a DRK then that is what you will unlock. In both cases your still a GLD, you have the same GLD skill but also have job specific spells just like when you chose a talent tree in WOW.

A and B if you follow the quests and storyline Ishgards army has 1 purpose... to slaughter all the dragons till they are extinct not make them pets... and B) welcome to wow 2.0 much? chocobos are great idea, the ability to ride current monsters in game meh its plausible i guess but dragons? i think theres a game or 10 that do that and they are all beneath the Final Fantasy series

keep the lore Final Fantasy.. If I see people riding around on anything but a chocobo it'd be very very sad. Short of a very few instances where dragons have been ridden.. chocobo is the main staple of mounted transportation in EVERY final fantasy.. Let's stick to the Lore PLEASE!

I don't see Dragons becoming a mount. So Far we know we are getting Private and Public Chocobos. But they've said they are looking into Event Based Magitek Mounts.

You are are gonna be a sad panda then they are entertaining other ideas to add besides chocobos and they do have ffs where people ride dragons AND each Final Fantasy has a different lore

I don't understand why some of you are against a little change. Each and every Final Fantasy has been different from one another in a lot of ways. For example : FF7 motorcycles and hover ships : FF8 Cars and Spaceships lol ! FF6 Mechs! Again People try to think outside the your normal box. STOP TRYING TO BE SO DAMN SAFE. lol
