I do not like flying dragons mount idea. I would rather see more complex chocobo's system. With leveling your chocobo for new abilities, etc.... >_< breeding, etc.

No dragons or flying mounts please, theres many other MMOs who cater to that.
Peronaly I feel any personal flying skill or mount cheapens the immersion of the game and even further removes any sense of danger to the world.
Plus dragons should be theese majestic, powerful, dangerous and untamable beasts, would hate to see dragons pussyfied in yet another game.
Prerebly I'd like to see just chocobos as mounts, but a bigger system with breeding, raising and training chocobos.
For flying transportation, airships should be the only way.
The story is that dragons use to be on our side but they were blamed for the loss of almhigo, since the primals combined took form of a dragon. Ishgard felt this was the plot of the dragon all along and raged war with them. Our mission now is to end the direct conflicts between the two sides. This involves a fight with a highest ranking dragon warrior (bahamut) earlier in the quest line and then a fight with Alexander ( a massive ground-tank like statue, the holy fist of Ishgard) at the end of the quest line. Completeing this quest line will allow you to have a dragon mount that can fly but not at incredibly high altitudes. After completing this quest you will also be able to take on two of the job quests, dragoon (quest line revolving the dragons.) and paladin (quest line involving around the Ishgard's holy knights.)

What the heck, I used to watch that when I was younger. Some parts are messed up, like how the elves were killed off.I don't think the world structure is well suited for flying mounts. Even with a redesign, I have my doubts it would work right.
If we had dragons, they would have to fly only a few feet from the ground, or be wingless:

(don't be enticed, the movie's actually terrible)
But I thought it was a hysterical ending, "I am glad you changed your last name, you son of a bit..." and shots his brother with a gun instead of a spell. I thought the movies was good!

I downloaded Wizards just because of Gramul's post about it, the video stopped like 5 min before the ending though. /Furious

Lol this thread, I've played every ff any I don't recall ever being able to fly on a dragon. Imma pass on this. "F anima! I want to ride a big yellow bird!" - hitler

FFV had Wind Drakes(species of dragon) as transportation they could land on flat grass and couldnt fly over mountains.

Well Square also made Bahamut Lagoon, so who knows.

Telling ya...chocobos should fly...kweh!
