I want a dragon for a mount just as much as having a Chocobo for a mount!!!

I was thinking it could work if they made a sky zone that you could use what ever flying things they add like personal airship, flying chocobos or dragons.

It would just basically be you in the sky with a lower rez map of the world below you where you could see the camps and cities, and maybe just take off or land there, maybe make different types have different speeds. City Airship would be fastest, and personal ones would be maybe 1/3 of that speed.

You mean like in the old games, but in 3D? That would work ^^

Not a great video, but basically that, but you would be able to travel freely in it.

No dragons or flying mounts please, theres many other MMOs who cater to that.
Peronaly I feel any personal flying skill or mount cheapens the immersion of the game and even further removes any sense of danger to the world.

Plus dragons should be theese majestic, powerful, dangerous and untamable beasts, would hate to see dragons pussyfied in yet another game.

Prerebly I'd like to see just chocobos as mounts, but a bigger system with breeding, raising and training chocobos.
For flying transportation, airships should be the only way.

How about no? why can't there be many different types of dragons.

FFXIV isn't all that medieval. We got bipedal warmachine mecha that can fly. I wont be surprised if we get Magitanks, and perhaps a motorcycle.

Personally I'd take a Gold Chocobo over a Dragon Mount any day. What? I'm just saying..
