
Then your issue is with the developers. We, the players, aren't here to help you get around what the developers have implemented. You are the one who doesn't want to play after joining the queue. That's on you, not the other players...Sometimes, the response to requesting a quick for (whatever) reason is "No, not going to kick you, you can suffer with us or eat a 30 minute penalty."
To me this is an effort to keep a player hostage, even if they can "Leave at any time", they can not do so without penalty. I do not feel it is 100% justified to give them a penalty if they have given their best effort but do not feel like the party has any forward momentum/progress. I feel that such an action is, indeed, holding the player hostage.
However, this is purely opinion based. Before it we had people who would leave at the start of a duty. Now we have players who use it to ransom veterans into trying to carry weaker
