Time Mage

I get the feeling Astrologian will be like a time Mage. And I'm curious to know if people think that Astrologian is the games iteration of a time Mage. Obviously, time Mages will be OP in most MMOS, and I would've loved playing one in XI but it could never be

So who else feels that we are getting a time Mage hidden in Astrologian? Will we see haste as a spell? I feel like it wouldn't be so OP if it had a long cast time and lasted, say 10-15 seconds on a single target--it could increase skill speed or auto-Attack delay will be lowered. It would mean there would be no heals received for a little while, so it requires tactical and preemptive thinking. A spell like double to cast on a black Mage or white Mage to make their spell multicast automatically would be amazing too. It could be a single target cast also with a decent cast time.

Astrologician is pretty much a space-oriented healer that, from the little bit we do know, uses a deck of tarot cards and stances that switches between barriers and healing. Not very time-mage ish. XD

I somewhat agree but also think it's the closest we come to a time Mage in an MMO. Aside from that, it seems like it is healing and support and time Mage was always about support. Plus, they had space Magic, like astrologians. And them getting a haste spell or double is more likely than anyone else getting it...unless we get an actual time Mage.

I'm pretty sure it was already stated that Astrologian's limit break would be something like "Celestial Stasis" and would have a time-altering effect. I believe it was compared to the same ability used in FF Tactics (aka Galaxy Stop), but altered to fit the MMO world.

Other than that, I got the impression from the Tarot cards that it would be more akin to Corsair with support buffs.

I guess we will have to wait and see.

The closest we have now is sch. The have access to: slow and spells to increase skill/spell speed by 20% for 30s

Also, aren't time mages classically wear green? SMN/SCH (and acn artwork) have af that's green

Actually in an interview Yoshi-P hinted at what the Astrologian's LB3 might be like, and if its anything like what he compared it to means it will be amazing. He compared it to the Astrologer's Celestial Stasis (or Galaxy Stop) from Final Fantasy Tactics, if you don't know what I am talking about here is a link:

I'm pretty disappointed in the jobs coming out honestly. I was hoping for another DPS caster class but instead I got another healer if this is accurate it makes me sad.
