Its commonground for most mmos to phase out old content as time progresses merely because its not viable to constantly rely on older players to keep doing old contents the same way they once did theirs.
Its been done so far with the relic grind bringing players back to old dungeons and primal fights but how long will it last?
How long will it take before people get fed up with going back to Aurum vale or Garuda Hm for yet another quest/grind, 6 months....a year...2 years?
Sooner or later SE is going to have to find a way for new players to get help thru content whilst not making it as tedious as they were before, Garuda Hm beeing a example here since it has no ilvl desync and has become a viable means for the relic grind due to beeing fast and easy.

Ilvl sync for such trials should alow only +10ilvl above the ilvl requirement of duty. That would make every trial more enjoyable but it would also bring many problems. 1st it will be weird that a hero, who has killed so many enemies has problem killing a primal he bested x years ago. Also many people would stop doing the trials and newbies will have even longer queues and bad players won't be able to hide behind their gear.

I personally think level syncing all content is something that should be standard fare. Some duties now are simply silly and certainly don't provide the challenge they once did. And yes newbies shouldn't have to be faced with anything other than how the dungeons were intended to be run.
And how much of a challange do you think Garuda Hm would provide for 8 players that has done it 100 times, AF gear or not it wont make the fight harder for them, it will only make it last longer.I personally think level syncing all content is something that should be standard fare. Some duties now are simply silly and certainly don't provide the challenge they once did. And yes newbies shouldn't have to be faced with anything other than how the dungeons were intended to be run.

Certainly more than running it with no synced gear etc. Raids like CT and Garuda are certainly more than silly and really they aren't much fun from those of us who ran them before let alone new players who haven't. Sorry but the speed runners shouldn't be the ones running the content or making those decisions because they want to get everything done as fast as possible.
I understand your point and in some ways i would agree for a ilvl desync on older content but only under 1 condition.Certainly more than running it with no synced gear etc. Raids like CT and Garuda are certainly more than silly and really they aren't much fun from those of us who ran them before let alone new players who haven't. Sorry but the speed runners shouldn't be the ones running the content or making those decisions because they want to get everything done as fast as possible.
That SE stops forcing us to go back to old content, light grind for one was bad enough, having to do it in desynced gear for primals or cape westwind would have been unbarable.

I think part of the problem is SE making endgamers farm low-lvl dungeons and the fact that the endgamers farming of these dungeons are typically more important than newbies playing dungeon for the first time. I suggest that SE cut down on either the number of Items needed from these dungeons and/or adjust the RNG of getting these items while asking players to play these dungeons with an ilvl sync. So instead of farming 500 whatever, you are only farming maybe 20 but the RNG is better and its ilvl sync.I personally think level syncing all content is something that should be standard fare. Some duties now are simply silly and certainly don't provide the challenge they once did. And yes newbies shouldn't have to be faced with anything other than how the dungeons were intended to be run.
I apologize. Spending too much time in the "T9 is too hard!" thread. Warps your perspective after so long.
I can see how people react strongly to this but personally I find it hard to believe if compared side by side anyone would call the current version of Garuda fun in any way compared to the way the designers intended it.
It's hard to detach objective thinking from the desire to get all the light by monotonously shaking the bird for 200 fights. Remember you could get lights in many many different ways this thread is not about that.
Garuda's main purpose is to be fun content and not a light dispencer for the brainless.
I think Ultima hard is still a fun trial to do because there's no way to over gear past the ball phases. You will always have to be on guard for those.
