It's bad enough that we're synched for dungeons, don't start imposing that trash on Trials and Raids too. If people put in the effort for getting really powerful gear, they should be allowed to use it, unhindered. Also, considering that if you get a couple new players who may struggle with mechanics, at least they can be carried by the overpowered players so the group gets to finish the content rather than suffer through the rage quitting and waving e-peens, wasting everyone's time.

Garuda Hard died the second Nexus light farming was introduced. It's a shame because I remember about a year ago this being somewhat of a gateway fight. Maybe I'm mistaken, but I do remember there actually being wipes to this. Oh well... we move on.

I remember doing Trial Roulette one day after a patch, getting Garuda HM, and thinking "Hmm why are these people all playing like total a-holes?" when they pulled her straight through the center before a protect cast could go off and I was the only one who bothered to LOS her first Mistral Shriek behind a stone pillar. Then one of my FC people told me about the whole light farming thing and I'm like Ohhhhh- so THAT's why people are playing like total a-holes!

Due to the nature of light farming, speedrunning short fights with a zombie-like mindset is just the de facto way of doing it.

Sorry, I prob was < clear on that one. I wasn't saying the players themselves were a-holes, what I meant is that it first seemed that way based upon their play style- but once I understood it in the context of the light farm grind people were having to do, it made sense. Basically the system was forcing people into a playstyle that was different than what I was unaccustomed to (pull before Protect cast for example) and it wasn't about the people so much.

Have you killed her 200 times or so for your relic? Honestly, direct that attitude towards the people who thought 500 hm primals or only 250 on bonus was a good idea.

I think he meant "A-holes" in a different way than you're taking it. I kinda read it as "players goofing off". In much the same way, that the meaning of "jerk" has evolved over the years.

I don't care enough about this content to keep doing it if it goes back to being something like the OP suggested. It's stupid and boring even back then. No I do not enjoy people who can't get it right raging and cause my groups to fail. It's fine the way it is since most of us don't need it beyond the lights or tomes and that's it. If a person needs to do this any differently then they can PF it. DF i.e. putting echo or anything else was by design to make the content easier not harder. It's old people. Deal with it.
