New Stay Command Animation for Carbuncle?

Why can't I get my Carbuncle to sit!? >.< It obeys every other command I give it... I know this can be done from a programming angle because I've recently seen a few different NPC Carbunlces sitting for their summoners! (both Topaz and Emerald) The animation is there, now let's associate it with the Stay command or something! Seriously, would it be so hard to make Carby sit when I hit the Stay icon? I mean, the icon itself even pictures a sitting Carby! I wouldn't care if Emerald and Topaz Carbuncle were the only summons that this applied to either - there don't have to be special animations for any other summon - but the sitting Carbuncle looks so cute! And a sit animation to accompany the Stay command just makes sense...

Any devs out there with an answer?

They won't bother because everyone uses summoner, well, those who still with summoner, that are not so much now to be honest...

They already decided because lore stuff and bla bla to not allowing us to use carby as summoner, despite ALL THE THREADS!

generally speaking, I don't know why, but I think at least out of combat they shouldn't be in an offensive stance.

But.... But.... Please, SE, we promise to train already for that cuteness so we can reduce the impact!...In Mor Dhona we have ruby the carbuncle for training!

PS: Can we adopt Ruby as summon III for SMN?

PS2: Can we have carbuncle companions instead of choco-boredom? Can we dye our carbuncle companions?

I have no idea if this has anything to do with the localization choice or what even the original name is in the Japanese version, but a lot of cultures do not distinguish blue and green and separate colors. It feels wrong coming from one which does!

Anyho, having Carbuncle sit on command would be a cool detail to have within the game. However, sadly, Carbuncle is completely abandoned after level 30 for the vast majority of players I really doubt they'll do anything more with it. Here's hoping they make a high level Carbuncle for SMN in the future but we'll probably get something no one wants, like a milkshake summon to go with our chicken nugget one.

The best part is that neither Emerald, Sapphire or Topaz make sense as names. The only gem they ever show to have is a ruby.

You would STEAL a carbuncle from its beloved Arcanist!? You knave!

(And besides, SMN already has Summon III. It's Ifrit-Egi.)

lol really enjoying these responses so far. XD yeah, btw, Parry is right that green and blue have a very similar meaning in Japanese - I do at least know that much from two years of classes. lol v.v;; but Bluevann, what if there was a red Carby for ACN called Ruby Carbuncle that had similar abilities to Ifrit? ;o but yeah, I've seen all the threads about a Carby for summoner, but TBH I would much prefer Ramuh and Shiva for SMN and Ruby Carbuncle (and accompanying sit animation!!!) for ACN. d;

In fact, I think a red Carby might just give ACN back some popularity points. I'm thinking... special lvl 50 (or maybe 60 in Expansion) ACN quest anyone? :3

There's no point, you would have to sacrifice a lot of dps just to summon it.

Also I don't play summoner primarily because carbuncles are overwritten with monstrosity-egis.
