    Leve the FATES behind...

    Heavensward is coming, lots of players excited. New environments, new classes, new FATES? No please, stale and grindy and not exciting. Suggesting a change to or discontinuation of FATES.
    Use dungeons to your advantage SE. They are beautifully designed, but why? Put special nodes inside. A stealth game for DoL's. Avoid patrols and snatch up what they can and get out. Triple the exp and rewards for Leves and make them send us into scaled dungeons, alone or with friends. Hunt one or many specific enemies. Get a certain item from a dungeon. Introduce FC leves and quests. Escort a member or two into the dungeon for research or gathering or anything to break up the hyper rigid formulated monotony that is this games current dungeon flavor.
    Give glam rewards for FATES. No one really wants to do them, they're boring. Don't put boring in your game when you don't have to. There is so much potential in this game's world being squandered right now. Be creative SE. That's your job, isn't it?

    Im sure there will be FATES but they wont be as stupid as they are now because the open world will be more dangerous, but i agree id like to see other ways to lvl also. I also hope they add max lvl leves that give rewards like in 1.0 where you had to go in groups to do it! And if they are adding as much content as 2.0 had that will be alot of dungeons from 50-60! I think 50-60 will have many more options of lvling than 1-50 did and hopefully no gaps in the dungeons

    SE should actually KEEP the fates in the new heavenwards for 3 reasons:
    1-fates are a great way to improve your grouping skills and test your own solo skill,
    2- removing fates from the game would be the equivalent of falling in the world of biebermode and we all know new players to the game that comes from world of bieber mode love whats bieber and they hate challenges since they all ahve in mind that WoB game style will be everywhere. so why should they remove the challenge from the game? if you want to bieber mode a video game that much go on TESO or Wow those 2 are fairly bieber mode to complete.
    3- game play ratio tank > heal > dps : 1:1:945678906575479509695386349787609 to the 947584658349374
    fates are there exactly to make sure that you dont end up spending 3 and a half hours in queue as a dps during DR or DF because tehre are so many darn dps in the game that it makes being a dps a pain to level.

    i dont mean to be rude to those who love the game and expect more to do but im exactly rude enough towards bieber players who complain that ff14 is not biebermode yet and i do hope it will just get more challenging with every new content that will be released. i pity those bieberish players .. must suck to be as obnoxious as they are.

    I wish they would make FATES harder but that you don't have to do them as much, and I agree that they under utilize the dungeons and other aspects of the game. Leveling up your job weapon is so boring that I fall asleep half the time I try to do it.

    Agreed, Cartoonfox. They should do something, ANYTHING that would make FATES more engaging if they're going to keep them around. If they make them harder, I'd like to see some extra and new rewards from them other than EXP. It'd be cool to see some rarer fates pop that require level 60. No exp rewards, but a chance to get something cool or useful without having to run EX Primals, dungeons or coil. Maybe some monster or area specific glam gear, dyes, pets, cards, mats or otherwise. If we're lucky, we'll get music for a jukebox like item for housing. Be cool to see some tracks dropped from Leves or FATES if they must keep them.

    again consider that the people who join mostly come from world of biebercraft and they all play dps so ALL the new fates would have to be dps races hence turning fates into nothing more than Junk people would do for 1 month and be done with cuz they would go down even faster as content gets released. take for example odin, even now with 130-135 gears he still uses your face to wipe the horse poop on his boots. and people barely do him on behe moth because the population is way to unbalanced 1 tank 1 healer 857384938573939020129027837459302837624035095092358762 dps per square inches. since theres too much dps for the tank and healer balance no one does fates since nobody will tank or heal it

    Simply, if you don't like them leave them. Don't ask a development team to remove a program and long complex algorithms, full of mechanics that took weeks and months for many people to figure out and implant in game to just shove it in the bin under the desk because some people think it’s dumb and don't like it.

    Each patch takes effort not less than 3 months from planning to programming till testing, and everyone finishes the content in a week. I’m not defending the content and I also would like to see new content in-game, but I should also consider the demand I am forcing on the development team.
