The layout is ok, i dont see point in HQ/NQ options, just display all with the giant display box, there are not many items as it is. I also do not see point in having both Slot and Type, when Type will just display Slot anyway, no? Picking Type Head and also Slot Head? May as well just have Type be much easier.

The bazaar message thing while it could be a good idea idk, be pointless drawn data imo and most be empty or old or generic or rmt and there will be very few that are legit and even then its like what is its purpose? So you can ask them to do Woodworking synths? I garauntee you know someone already or there is someone in your LS who does it for free.

Also no border around gear display, or a more padded one.

Also the window for the sells is very narrow, it wouldnt really fit things, long item names "Cream-yellow Velveteen Dye" is not going to fit, even some long player names "powowowow powowowow" lol

A much simplier approach wold be to have a narrow search window then use the same display window as yo uget when you /check to show the gear

    [ Search ]
    [ Class/Job ] [ Type ] [ Order ]
    [ Result Window ]

Maybe a [ Bazaar Message ] below if needed.

Hovering an item or highlighting one just like /check window displays the items details.

You'd also need to tab the main window for a buy / sell, but instead of showing a gear display like the buy sells you'd show your own inventory where you can select an item and set a price, have the system display the top 5 lowest prices within that same window so the user doesnt need to first find it, and hit sell.
    Is that better then?

There is too much empty space, it looks derp.

    SEARCH - - - - - - - - ITEM HERE

HQ / NQ option because some people are going to want to look for these things specifically for crafting, but it's not necessary. (100% chance for HQ when using HQ mats).

Also TYPE = material, food, part, fish, etc..

    SLOT = head, body, legs

    They aren't the same

You don't seem like a very grateful person... nope, not at all...

Anyway, great designs here! I've not been having too much trouble with the Bazaar myself, but condensing the search sure would make things a lot faster and easier to navigate. I wonder if SE would actually take this on board, though.

Would suit best, imo, with the /check gear window to the right, and making the AH window much smaller but the results window much lengthier.

Looking nicer, but ofc a lot of whitespace needs clearing and the window smaller, I think be better to have seperate window for viewing item but ofc both work nicely.

Then you can have type also for Head, Body, Legs as the current system already does it that way then just sub categorize it such as Weapons > Hand-2-Hand or in XIV's case it would be slightly different as they use "Ward" terms but they may not in an AH sense.

That looks good - don't see anything wrong with that other than the columns could do with some resizing. Maybe the whole thing could be a bit narrower, but that's all.

Well ya the current system is just insanely convoluted. Look how many categories there are for footwear alone... sandals, greaves, and shoes. Why not just have footgearz or something else and put them together.

I think everyone agrees the current system needs a complete overhaul and/or replacement. Nothing about it is very friendly.

Yeah def on the right track as far as a simple UI would go. If I have time today at work I might be able to mock something up. I actually do UI design as part of my job and have some fancy software with some nice tools.
