PVP - Ideas & Expectations!!

I'm big fan of FF however I'm also big fan of PVP, while we might not get PVP system soon, lets give Dev Team something to think about, and maybe even consider to implement in future My Idea and vision for PVP in FFXIV would be more about fair and square Tournaments rather than random killing.

1) I'm sure many remember Final Fantasy 7 - Battle Arena it was cool right
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifzVjY3I4C0 Now what about implementing system like that in FFXIV exept we won't fight against monsters, we will fight against players, maybe monsters could have some role there as well Every player would have to register for fight, there will be prizes to win, depends on ranking match etc.

2) Another thing I would like to see being implemented is Team PVP, I realize that Battlegrounds like in WoW will not work well, however minigames like in Aoc might actually work good in FFXIV.

3) Open World PVP, and I don't mean pk, ganking etc, I mean possibility of having duels everywere we go in game, I'm sure it would bring a lot of fun, and players would find cool places to do their own private tournaments, fights etc.

4) The only thing left 4 me is some kind of Reward PVP Points System, for which we could probobly buy PVP gear etc, but that I guess I would leave to Dev Team

I would be fine with any type of implementation(though I'd prefer tournament/arena like PvP)

If it's gonna be as important to the game as PvP in WoW, I don't wanna see PvP in this game EVER! As soon as PvP is affecting class balance I hate it and I don't want it to be there. Class balance should be solely balanced around PvE!

SE already stated in many interviews that, they are looking more in to some ''sport" type of PVP, so I'm sure we won't be forced to PVP.

SO MUCH THIS. I hated WoW and its constant rollercoaster of balancing classes for both PVE and PVP even when WoW was created as a PVE game.

This exactly, If you want hardcore pvp then go play wow or one of the many other games that revolve around it. For starters the latency in this game will never be good enough for competitive pvp in NA zones. I don't care how much optimizing they claim to do.

FF would be the BETTER game ever. If SE implement this they will have a BIG weapon in their hands... that would be awesme!!!!, an instanced WoE with a certain players in each team!!!
People still playing Ro because WoE are awesome, and WoE in this game would be like the god of MMORGP.
Now, i think SE isn´t too capable to make something like this......
but if they implement it ------> SE -----> $E
they will have a lot of gil!!
