Not sure if it has been mentioned, but if you had a tank that was getting a lot of poison stacks and other debuffs, that last fight is a little harder on SCH than on WHM since I believe SCH doesn't have something like WHM's Esuna, yet. I've had scholars easily heal the fight, but usually that is with competent dps and a good tank who knows how to dodge and try to avoid damage. From what you wrote, I think it was mostly a tank issue, especially since you did it with the replacement tank ^_^v

You are correct. I do not have leeches yet to remove the poison stacks so i pretty much have to spam physik the whole fight. I've done it successfully about a dozen times since that awful experience however, so I'm feeling more confident again lol.

It's actually possible to have the poison effect expire but requires you to time an Adlo to block all the damage from the spit he uses to refresh the stack. This can be a bit tricky as it's instantly cast, so you'll need to use instinct and experience to determine "when" he's about to use it.. It might not be worth the trouble but just some food for thought for you.

I was obviously upset so i asked them what the reasoning was and the tank says "your accessories are under leveled." The two dps told him how stupid that was so he left and we cleared it first try with the new tank.

I hope this isn't what healing is like, because that's the whole reason i stopped maining my tank. I hate how much blame people throw around in this game. Its very discouraging some times.
THIS IS NOT YOUR FAULT!!!! This is all the Tank. He needs to learn to dodge and honestly that boss sucks as Scholar. You don't have leeches yet so you can't debuff the poison. If he continuously gets hit by poison then his life is going to drop faster. The only way I have found around this is pre-healing. If you wait he will die, so as soon as you see the AoE that he can't dodge need to pre-heal it. Your accessories do not matter at that level. He was coping out for his own inability of horrible dodging.

Tanks die from overestimating their abilities, or doing stupid things.
How exactly is this the healer's fault?

That's exactly what I've been doing. I pretty much just spam physik the whole fight and that seems to do the trick.

Just how the blame get's shifted. Healer dies, Tank's fault. Tank dies, Healer's fault. Ergo you're going to get blamed regardless, so just bite your tongue, otherwise you'll spend the next 30 minutes with "FINE I AFK, KICK ME, GOOD LUCK GETTING SOMEONE ELSE."

From experience, people don't really get into an argument over blame unless the player is toxic, basically they are playing bad on purpose. I've seen Tanks and DPS leave after wiping once. I've also seen DPS leave after getting whatever they were farming the dungeon for.

I've posted this before in another thread, but i'll do so here as well. I'm not saying I agree with it, I'm just saying how everything is perceived.

    Tanking is a Job
    Healing is Responsibility
    DPS is fun

    Reasoning?
It's the tanks' job to know the fights. When a DPS pre-pulls mobs or the boss it's the tanks' job to fix it. When the healer gets aggro it's the tanks job to keep him safe. When DPS checks are not met is the tanks' job to LB it and keep everyone safe. While the tank is doing his job, the healer is responsible for keeping everyone alive. If the group wipes, it was the healers responsibility. DPS in the meantime is simply having fun

This is generally how most people perceive the roles.

People need to understand that it does not work this way. Everyone has a task and everyone should pull their weight. It is the groups' job to know the fights, it is the group which is responsible for failing, it is the group that should be having fun. It's a team effort after all.

With a bit of creativity you can get through it. Heal through a few stacks and if they start getting ridiculous like 6-7 stacks you can use an antidote potion to remove it. You can target somebody and use potions on them so it's good to remove it with that halfway through the fight and take the pressure off.
