It's easier to be more aggressive behind a screen and MMO's are no exception. People already explained about growing thicker skin and it's true. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been yelled at and called a "trash healer" in games even when it wasn't even my fault. I remember pouring my troubles out to an old guild master in a game once in my early days starting with MMO's and I got the best piece of advice anyone ever gave me. "Suck it up princess, Move on and don't let your head drop or the team will suffer" if you are angry you are not a good Healer. You need to think of everyone as your dance partners and to do well you all have to perform the steps in sync. Some people have two left feet they are a little clumsy and this makes them mad. You just phase out their yelling and remain in zen.

Brayflox as said above really is the first dungeon that makes you get with the program. Everything before that is pretty much a tutorial edging you slowly into learning mechanics and teamwork. It can be facerolled and bludgeoned through however so many learn nothing. Brayflox has some really nice looking cloth gear so I spent a long time in there farming the gear.

One run I always remember was when I was looking for the last piece of gear I needed for the set. I queued in progress and got a run that was still just before the first boss. I get in and they say something like "Let's see if we finally have a Healer who can heal" that should have been my first clue to run. We start the boss fight and the Tank can not hold anything the DPS are running around like headless chickens while I desperately throw cure 2 and then pull everything which then kills me.

Of course they blamed me. Turns out the three of them knew each other and were ganging up on every Healer who went in and couldn't perform some miracle. I asked them after 3 Healers maybe they are doing something wrong. They started yelling at me more calling me a noob and then I pointed out that all my gear was from that dungeon which they accused me of cheating to get. Few minutes of yelling later and they rage quit. Sometimes you end up in a situation that is just bad. People don't want to admit they are at fault.

With more experience you learn when you are wrong and when somebody is just blaming you when they are wrong. You will learn a good Tank from a bad one. A good Tank knows the boss mechanics and knows where you are, where the DPS are and how to position and use their CD's. A bad one feels like he's made of paper, spins the boss around all over and makes life impossible for the Healer.

In the end people get angry, you will get angry and that's when the game beats you. If you lost your temper it sucks because you never play as well like that since you can't focus.
