Unfortunately there are always going to be people who take the game a little too seriously.

Luckily for me these occurrences are few and far between, however, I did Hydra the other day as WHM and both healers came under fire because the MT decided to go straight in and start fighting and a majority of the party were doing it first time and still watching cut scenes. Consequently I wasn't quitre ready, the other healers was in a CS and he bit the dirt. He was not happy and started F'ing and blinding at both healers with a "WHERE ARE MY F**KING HEALS????".
I didn't even bother replying, there was no wipe, we finished the instance with no further deaths so he wasn't worth getting upset over.

Just let it slide off your back like water off a duck and remember to not give them any commendations.

Few things coming from a Warrior(Tank) and Whitemage(Healer):
    • Most tanks are Drama queens that need to be in the center of attention. They think they are Gods' given gift to man and all should bow down to him/her.
    • Duty Finder can give you worlds coolest and friendliest teammates, or the scum of the earth.
    • A proper tank will ALWAYS dodge AOE when avoidable and rotate his defensive cooldowns to mitigate damage
    • It is easier to blame others than to find the fault with yourself.
    • Anonimity on the internet shows people's true nature. Like stated earlier, some friendly folks, some scumbags

I understand it is discouraging at times. Ignore it. If you make a mistake; own up to it, and try to do better next time. In this case it simply seems you received a lousy drama queen tank. It reflects more on him than that it reflects on you. Certain dungeons are more prone to these kinds of things than others.

Brayflox has a jump in difficulty. In things prior to Brayflox enemies don't hit that hard and is considerably a lot less forgiving for mistakes. It is the first dungeon which requires some experience and minor skill.

I've had runs in which the DPS and Healer could not dodge the mechanics to save their own life. I stayed calm, explained how to dodge easier, explained the tactics in more detail and had a laugh about it. It is a game, not a job. Have fun and don't let others ruin your game experience!

Getting a nice FC and doing dungeon runs with FC mates is often the best solution in my opinion

It's easier to be more aggressive behind a screen and MMO's are no exception. People already explained about growing thicker skin and it's true. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been yelled at and called a "trash healer" in games even when it wasn't even my fault. I remember pouring my troubles out to an old guild master in a game once in my early days starting with MMO's and I got the best piece of advice anyone ever gave me. "Suck it up princess, Move on and don't let your head drop or the team will suffer" if you are angry you are not a good Healer. You need to think of everyone as your dance partners and to do well you all have to perform the steps in sync. Some people have two left feet they are a little clumsy and this makes them mad. You just phase out their yelling and remain in zen.

Brayflox as said above really is the first dungeon that makes you get with the program. Everything before that is pretty much a tutorial edging you slowly into learning mechanics and teamwork. It can be facerolled and bludgeoned through however so many learn nothing. Brayflox has some really nice looking cloth gear so I spent a long time in there farming the gear.

One run I always remember was when I was looking for the last piece of gear I needed for the set. I queued in progress and got a run that was still just before the first boss. I get in and they say something like "Let's see if we finally have a Healer who can heal" that should have been my first clue to run. We start the boss fight and the Tank can not hold anything the DPS are running around like headless chickens while I desperately throw cure 2 and then pull everything which then kills me.

Of course they blamed me. Turns out the three of them knew each other and were ganging up on every Healer who went in and couldn't perform some miracle. I asked them after 3 Healers maybe they are doing something wrong. They started yelling at me more calling me a noob and then I pointed out that all my gear was from that dungeon which they accused me of cheating to get. Few minutes of yelling later and they rage quit. Sometimes you end up in a situation that is just bad. People don't want to admit they are at fault.

With more experience you learn when you are wrong and when somebody is just blaming you when they are wrong. You will learn a good Tank from a bad one. A good Tank knows the boss mechanics and knows where you are, where the DPS are and how to position and use their CD's. A bad one feels like he's made of paper, spins the boss around all over and makes life impossible for the Healer.

In the end people get angry, you will get angry and that's when the game beats you. If you lost your temper it sucks because you never play as well like that since you can't focus.

I tried not to get angry. I simply asked what his reasons were and he tried blaming it on my gear. Rings and necklace at that, not even my actual armor or weapon. It seemed so ridiculous to me. Last night i bought all the affordable level 35 accessories i could just to avoid being blamed over it in the future.

Does it happen often ? Yes. Will it get better ? Sure. As soon as you reached level 50 and further contents, people will use their jobs better. (hopefully).

Until then, try to analyze their gameplay and explain it to them. If they do anything irresponsible or completely wrong, it's anyone who notices it's responsibility to tell. Whether they accept it or not is not your issue. You're the one who's gonna improve. If they aren't listening or willing to learn, who cares ? they're the one that are going to be terrible at their jobs.

For the record, Brayflox's last boss is a pain to heal as soon as the tank plays as if he's invincible and won't dodge, even when you are sync'ed. Your mana pool at this level is extremely low, and being forced to cureII and dispell doesn't help at all. I often have to tell the party "please move", or "please LB as early as you can, my mana is running low". As a sidenote, at this level Bards should have a skill (job 30) "Mage's ballad", aka "manasong", which you can ask for if you think you'll be lacking. That will regen your mana greatly, just make sure you stand by the bard (range is quite limited).

At level 38, you will get a skill, "Shroud of Saints" allowing to regen some MP for yourself. Be patient ^^

Unfortunately, it's always the healer at fault. In Frontlines, when the Bard takes on a team of 24, or when a ninja falls off the Heliodome, it's the healer's fault. In CT when someone doesn't get on the pad & dies, it's the healer's fault. In dungeons when the tank can't take two 5k hits in a row while standing in poison, it's the healer's fault. When a DPS gets slaughtered by a S-Rank because they didn't avoid the AoE, it's the healer's fault.

Basically, we get blamed for everything but very rarely acknowledged when something is completed with success.

Also i think a lot of healers in DF forget that they are the hyper carries of the run.
U can barely get by if u don\\'t have a tank. Healers can act as substitute tanks etc and help dps if dps is not meeting a certain thresh hold before wipe mechanic. Sure it can get messy and sometimes ppl won\\'t thank u and will instead call u shit for making the run a success.
Its ur duty to make sure the party can stand on two feet and move forward despite ur teammates having 2 left feet and falling down every step they take.
Its rough, its messy and thats y A LOT of ppl run with friends and fc/ ls mates because they simply cannot handle the burden if it ever happens to fall upon them.

U can get a t13 geared healer tht can\\'t carry 4 minimum geared dps in ultima hm. They wouldn\\'t think twice about orb duty because they r used to a controlled environment ( its tank duty / not my job )
Ppl who improvise are better than ppl who can only function under perfect/ good conditions.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but if you had a tank that was getting a lot of poison stacks and other debuffs, that last fight is a little harder on SCH than on WHM since I believe SCH doesn't have something like WHM's Esuna, yet. I've had scholars easily heal the fight, but usually that is with competent dps and a good tank who knows how to dodge and try to avoid damage. From what you wrote, I think it was mostly a tank issue, especially since you did it with the replacement tank ^_^v

You are correct. I do not have leeches yet to remove the poison stacks so i pretty much have to spam physik the whole fight. I've done it successfully about a dozen times since that awful experience however, so I'm feeling more confident again lol.

It's actually possible to have the poison effect expire but requires you to time an Adlo to block all the damage from the spit he uses to refresh the stack. This can be a bit tricky as it's instantly cast, so you'll need to use instinct and experience to determine "when" he's about to use it.. It might not be worth the trouble but just some food for thought for you.
