I get that it's annoying if they run out before buffs, but that's still a bad reason to intentionally kill your group. Just protect some time during the first pull then sc+stoneskin2 right after it.

When in doubt, assume sarcasm
Not saying I'll intentionally kill them. I have however let groups die when I expressively said "Please wait for mana" after I ran dry on a stressful pull and the tank ran away and pulled (This one happened in AV where scaling drastically changes my mana pool). I refuse to suicide if I know I cannot heal through a pull because I am out of mana.
And no, the job of Tanks is not to only keep mobs off the others. It's also survival. And more often than not I see tanks do huge pulls without popping a single buff, expecting the healers to pull them through. I can - don't get me wrong there - but it is immensly stressful, more than it should be when popping cooldowns is off your gcd and takes almost no effort at all. So if a tank actually asks him I now am in the habit of responding "Sure, can do speed runs, if you as tank can use cooldowns."
