I just think there is a big difference between this MMO and WoW (OP referred to DK). This world is highly story driven and if there isnt some easy way to explain why the new jobs were "hiding" until now (Like the Rogue Guild), then it is going to need to come from the new area and to get to the new area you need to unlock it via story because the whole reason you cant get there is story related. I don't think this is a difficult reason to understand although I do understand your desire to play from the start like in WoW. But in WoW story is completely irrelevant. I played through up to litch king and didnt follow any story or even do any of the end dungeons for any expansion packs (mostly cause No one does them anymore).

All in all I really like how this game tries to keep content relevant, so far. I know people complain about fates and having to do older dungeons but this really helps out the new players by giving them a chance to go through all the content. I like having to unlock a more powerful job. As it is, no jobs are unlocked until you have earned 30/15 in the required classes. Honestly, I think what is needed is either more classes or some change to the class part of the armory system to give them a purpose beyond level 30. I'm actually looking forward to a time where true advanced jobs are added in where we need two (or more) Jobs at a specific level to unlock them. This has been a staple in the job systems through all FF games. I think you would only be surprised by this if you are unfamiliar with the FF franchise.
