Change Free Company Name -> {Can I have it?}

I wanted to necro one old thread with that petition, but for some reason, not able to find it anymore so... Here it goes...

Basically, we are almost reaching the expansion, and yet, yet, yeeeet... We can't change names of the free companies... This was requested even before being able to change the names of the characters themselves... We can do so but not our guilds?...

It's a lot of issues into this because it may changes of leadership (Especially after the 30 days inactivity rule) and perhaps new leaders likes all the advantages but not the name after all.... Or perhaps one guild has a name based in their ideals but they are not able to change the guild's name....

Do something about this, if you fear it may be exploitable, like almost everything, then just make it so you can only change it once per month, but definitely do something bout it...

And please, please. Avoid the comment "Then make a new one":

Not only we have to mention the 'little' effort of making it rank 8, buy a mansion and decorate it with stuff, but also the accumulated points, and, what's more important, the foundation date.... Why would you create a new one with a fresh foundation date when you had one perhaps made years ago? What if there's no good land spots anymore and you liked your past one? Just frustrating.

In Heavenswards it seems guilds are going to get some more importance and utility... Aren't we at time to solve this problem prior to the expansion?

PS: If you want to do a funny joke such as "What's a guild?" or something related with guilds in FFXIV, then, okay, I'll admit it, I used the word guild in some parts of text instead of Free Company that is the correct term in FFXIV, I'm GUILty, happy?
