Do you enjoy your bonus tomestones for their being someone new to the encounter there? If so, maybe you should work with the new person and help them instead of belittling them.
They dont have to watch the cutscenes for you to get the bonus...
How is wanting someone to be considerate of the rest of thier group belittling them? How does that make any sense what-so-ever?
You are quite literally being paid for your time to help people. For them to experience the dungeon, cutscenes included.
But as to the point about belittling? Perhaps you should read the first post of this thread. The point was that they were cursed out and yelled at, called names and threats, for wanting to watch cutscenes. And this isn't a new behavior.
Story roulette provides a bonus for doing the roulette. You could get a group of entirely veteran players speed running. And that's perfectly fine.
But if you get a new player you will get an additional bonus because you are facilitating a new player. Someone who is potentially brand new to the game and just now reaching 50 for the very first time. This person is one of the people who will help keep the game afloat and potentially spread good things about the game to their friends and bring in more people.
I know a lot of endgame folks like to think they're the ones that keep a game going but I can assure you that this is not the case (go look at every topheavy sunsetted game ever). You are not very likely to bring any more people now that you have been at endgame for a long period of time. It's people who are brand new to the game and coming up in it who are more likely to say to their friends to come play and actually get some more new blood.
I totally get the point that going through CM and Prae for the Nth time can be annoying. I've done it oodles of times myself on more than one character. But when it comes down to it, we should be doing everything we can to encourage new people to keep playing.
Thankfully, the times I've done Story Roulette people have been happy to see new players, were helpful and educational. And to those people; kudos.
