Kinda strange complaint as this argument goes further lol.

Relic grind is doing the same thing over and over, chocobo racing is doing the same thing over and over, triad is doing the same thing over and over, grinding tomes is the same thing over and over, WoD is the same thing over and over (this point was also made way back at the beginning of this thread), Primals follow the same patterns over and over, crafting requires doing the same thing over and over to the point if mild insanity (disclaimer: the insanity thing was a joke, because I know someone would nitpick that comment).

What in this game doesn't require rinse and repeat grinding? Only difference with coil is that the grinding is towards progression for clearing the content eventually farming it for gear the same way people do towers or hunts over and over and over and over.

OP has no interest in coil because he/she hates the battle system of ffxiv (literally every fight is scripted mechanics with small variance on who deals with what even SVHM) but narrowed the complaint to coil.
