You seem to assume that every one should be able to clear content, no you are wrong, everyone has the same access but its meant to be a skill check, its meant to wall you.

This is entirely intended.
For me the biggest problem isn't that some content walls me, it's that there's nothing else meaningful to farm or do if we can't bypass that wall. People clearing Coil get gear and everyone else gets tomes and vanity items. There's really not much in between. PF on Cactuar has been uber-boring for weeks now. Nothing but final coil, which I can't do because I haven't cleared T9. I am pretty good with the mechanics of T9, just can't find a group of semi-decent people who'll actually stick together. I know MMOs are social games but right now I'd use the term "game" rather loosely since all I have left to do is T9 and chocobo racing... I guess?

I really don't want SE to read that last part and just decide to make everything more grindy, because that isn't the answer either. What I think they should do is have gradual increases in difficulty from turn to turn, not have turns that are ok and then a turn that's insane and THAT turn stops you from doing anything else in the game even though the content is 6 months to 1 year old and the gear is totally irrelevant (can't even desynth right now...) Raiders seriously going to be like "you're ruining our content"? It's OLD. I can't get a group that can clear T9 with 10-20 more ilevels and 20% echo.

Frankly I don't like content being nerfed but the vast majority can't clear this type of content and there aren't enough other FUN things to do right now. I don't mind grinding for Triple Triad cards or Chocobo Racing but seriously that won't keep my interest for the next 10 weeks. So I guess tomorrow it's back to putting T9 in PF. I'll do it until I'm just so totally tired and bored that I quit. I love the fight, I do, but I really don't want to do it over and over for the next 3 months.
