Why I have no interest in Coils more specifically, T9.

Troll post, but I'll bite. i130 DRG; have not cleared T13. My work is pretty demanding so I cannot commit to a static as I might not be able to raid on a set schedule (which a lot of professional people will concur). I am frequently top DD in anything I do, I am in a FC with a bunch of friends (from the real world) however like I mentioned since I cannot commit a dedicated time to raiding I was unable to join my friends raid static (I place no blame on them real life money > in game epeen). However there is NO EXCUSE for bad manners in any form of communication. Like your post I've quoted you only further exacerbate the situation at hand. Joking or not, its not really appropriate, just like those PF groups, just like the mentality of Elitism is not appropriate. I feel we should be working together to form a more pluralized community as that will strengthen it; not cause it to decay from within. Like I said before you think you are immune to your own mentality...just wait, its only a matter of time before Abyssea like content is released if the trends continue.

There are statics out there that only ask for a set number of nights per week and are willing to work around people's schedules. I ran a static where we had:
- an international flight attendant living in Asia (the rest of us were in the US) whose schedule changed every week and sometimes we had to work around time zone differences.
- a med student who was on surgery rotation and sometimes couldn't raid last minute because he was in surgery.
- an engineer who works at a steel mill whose schedule was flip flopped in 12 hour shifts from week to week, so there were weeks where he could only raid in the morning or night.

Scheduling the raid every week was a giant PITA, and we were not the fastest group to clear coil on our server. But we cleared it way before they unlocked and continued to clear every week. People had work and family long before MMOs came out. Work and family aren't what's stopping people from committing to a static; not having the drive to make it happen is what's stopping you.
