I believe sometimes the algorithm or the DF breaks. Sometimes I have had the DF waiting for 20 min and I am like wth. So I withdraw reque and it pops almost immediately.

Yes I see this too. FC members and I regularly team up for roulettes and we're usually tank, heal, 1 dps, and sometimes the queue won't pop for 15 mins and we KNOW that's weird, so we withdraw and requeue and *bam,* instantly pops up. It happens often enough to make me paranoid.

Nah. People that are new to FFXIV because of the expansion will be leveling up one of the existing classes so they can get to the shiny new. Established players are going to play Machinist just as much as Dark Knight and Astrologian. There will still be a disproportionate number of DPS classes as compared to tanks/healers.
