I just hit level 50 after two months.... I must say the game at level 50 is so much better than pre 50.
II just wanted to know what is the most popular job in the game and why?

This kind of question makes no sense at all. All jobs are interesting and balanced. You need to find your own favorite job by yourself
lol im not looking for someone to choose my favorite job....My favorite is dragoon.. but i was just curious to know what the most popular job is in this game. I'm just curious its not going to change what i find fun and/or entertaining.
Im not even sure if official statistics exist. Last time i checked job polls they were all balanced. People have a lot of different jobs so the stats make no sense.
You won´t get any form of credible opinion here, in a forum where just a few of characters hang out.

Check this site out, they gather informations of the lodestone and feed their database, make up your own results there.
(disclaimer: bots/rmt seem to tend to be GLD / BLM, so maybe slice down a chunk of their cake)
Soul still doesn't really help too much; that just shows what people have, not necessarily what the use. Some people like to get everything to top level, then never use it again.

Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.

Congrats on hitting 50!
I'd say it probably depends on if you have any specific reasons for wanting to level a particular job, otherwise they all seem equally useful. Tank and healer jobs are fairly nice to have in terms of queue times. A lot of players will work on a crafting or gathering class to help out a little with gil too, that's the route I went after hitting my first 50 anyway.

Thanks. So I guess crafting items and selling them is the best way to earn gil? any other ways? I really hate disciples of hand/land jobs. I just can't into themCongrats on hitting 50!

You could also do spiritbonding, and there are a couple things that can be farmed from dungeons/raid instances once you're geared up a bit more that might sell for a decent amount of gil, really depends on what your server's market is like. I farmed allagan leathers from binding coil t4 for a while when I was on Phoenix, but they sell for a lot less on Excal.

Based on my experiences... Ninjas everywhere, dragoons a close second, other DPS about equal. Warriors seem more popular than paladin as tanks, and scholars and white mages are split broadly down the middle.
Ultimately you should just play whatever class you find the most fun, DPS have to deal with longer queue times, but if you're good at your role and enjoy it you'll always find a place.
