WOD & the Tank LB3

Option 1: Tank LB, save raid, takes a slight bit longer to complete the fight,
or
Option 2: Save LB, everyone dies and have to start over.

Tough choice there, I vote for getting the hell out of that fight. Go Tank LB!!


Option 3: Kill everything don't get stacks, Don't need LB for any part of WOD so anyone can use it.

Funny Option 1 NEVER Works for my groups... Option 2 happens natrually and Option 3 is becoming as rare as EX primal mount Drops.

Okay there in lies the problem. A tank wouldn't need to use their LB if the DPS were doing their job. If the tank sees the benefit to using the LB and it makes the fight succeed, then use it. (This has happened multiple times in runs that I have been in.) So the tank can only control what he/she is doing. What you are saying is if the DPS is doing poorly, then everyone should just die and start over just to have the same issue happen again. That's insane. If there is a way to progress, even with sub-par DPS, then do it.

If the tank LB determines if we wipe or kill the boss. I'm all for the tank using the LB..besides. I like castles.

Can we please stop trying to supplement bad DPS on the Cloud of Darkness cloud phase with the Tank's LB3?

So what are you saying, you'd rather just wipe than potentially win? Can you explain that sort of logic to the class?

Because I've seen multiple runs saved by tank LBs (not even just LB3, because chances are if you're in bad enough shape to need it, you probably haven't had people covering all the meteors and therefore haven't gotten the big LB boosts from doing that)

If the DPS didn't suck, you wouldn't be in the situation of needing tank LB to not wipe. I'd rather the bad DPS improve to be decent DPS so that the DPS can use the DPS LB and everyone can be happy. Without dying. Because you shouldn't be in a situation where using the tank LB as anything other than a joke makes sense.

on the Elemental data center, during every WoD run i have done, we use melee DPS LB3 during or around the 2nd cloud phase, i say around because sometimes other alliances manage to get 3 bars before the 2nd cloud phase starts and they start building up more bars
the only time i have ever had to use tank LB3, was when WoD was new and people were messing up 2nd cloud phase because people didn't know what was happening

A successful melee LB3 accounts for maybe 5 seconds or so of damage from the entire alliance. It's really quite silly to get worked up over.

A few clouds getting through is "something went wrong." It's also not enough to need a tank LB. So many clouds getting through that you need the tank LB is not "something went wrong," it's "no, seriously, wtf just happened?"
