[Spoilers] Disappointed at lack of phasing in storyline

I find this to be a major fail on SE's part when

during the escape from Ul'dah I could see crystal braves and brass blades holding torches coming out in waves from Ul'dahs main entrance. right after the cutscene I run to Ul'dah and was roaming through freely as if nothing happened.
I should've not been granted entry until completion of the storyline at the very least .

Am i the only one who faced disappointment on how this was missed out.. I really hope this is taken into consideration for future storylines..
