What are blunt weapons that you want to see in future?

Not only FFXIV but FF series also lack of non-magic blunt weapons too. Most of blunt weapons are magic type such as Staff, Rod, Cane, Grimoire, etc. However, FFXIV should not have only Monk for do blunt damage in future. What are the blunt weapons that you expected and the job related with that weapon.

Examples of general blunt weapons in series

• One-handed Mace Most of this weapons in FF are magic weapons and i think it can't use one-handed like ACN's Grimoire. Maybe it must use with shield same as THM's Scepter and CNJ's Rods.
• Two-handed Mace/Hammer I think Cinque from type-0 is the best model for use this weapon as DPS. Smash! Smash! Swing and Nice Shot!
• Whip This weapon was used by many jobs but only Beastmaster (FFV) used it as main weapon. Moreover, Animist and Beastmaster in FFT-A2 showed it in artwork but they used instruments as their weapon.
• Pole Besides Monk that is the best match job for this weapon, Arithmetician(FFT), Mystic (FFT), and Dancer like Penelo (FFT-A2) can use it too.
• Nunchaku It's hard to find other jobs match with this weapon more than Monk.
• Flail It was not popular weapon in the past.
• Bell It's main weapon of Geomancer and Beast Master in past series but it's look like magic weapon more than combat weapon.
• Instruments It's hard to expect for this weapon. It's weird if Bard can't use it but other jobs can use it. Furthermore, it's look like magic weapon more than combat weapon too.

They weren't designed as or originally intended as a training tool though. They're still a weapon, as impractical as they may be in armed combat. We're also talking about putting them in a game in a series where characters frequently make use of impossible or impractical weapons.

No, they are weapons. They're just not very effective, and hence used primarily for training.

You could argue that the bokken isn't a weapon, that it's just a training tool, but Miyamoto Musashi would prove you dead wrong.
