i believe yoshi-p said that one of the first few quests in the 3.0 MSQ is finding the scions.
Ishgard didn't send any help when the Calamity happened. Frickin' moon just crashed into the planet and Ishgard is all "lol not my problem." I think Merlwyb and Kan E Senna were still sore about it. Raubahn, on the other hand, knows what it's like to have your home invaded and taken over, and that's why he pressed for permission to lend SOME troops (which in hindsight may not have been a bad idea, if some of his most loyal people were over there.)I wont lie.. I lost a little bit of respect for the admiral and the elder seedseer for just walking out while raubahn is being over thrown and the warrior of light/scions being accused of something that is completely against their character AT the accusation of monetarist who are known for their evil deeds and intent! idk.. I understood the politics of why they did what they did but really? We saved you and your people multiple times and you leave us in our time of need?! Very dissapointed.. Would have expected better from those who depend on us.. That was just the culmination of my disappointment with them. My respect for them first started to faulter when they wouldn't send men to help us protect Ishgard.. But then they take credit for it! Now this??
After that.... well, it's internal Ul'Dahn politics and their hands were tied. I'm not happy about it, but I can see why they didn't help.

Had they started helping Raubahn they would have risked death too then all 3 major great cities would have fallen with no leader in its place... perhaps even to the monetarists themselves.
Something tells me that they are heading back home and will help once they are in a better position to do so.
While I am disapointed that they were hesitant to send people to help ishgard I completely understand why they didn't want to. My point wasn't that they should or shouldn't have, my point was that they didn't want to help but then they took the glory for it afterward at the feast using high and mighty language. Although that put a dent in my respect for them... It wasn't even close to the betrayal that took place minutes later. Warrior of light tied up and thrown to the ground, scions surronded on every side, raubahn with a missing arm and the admiral and seedseer just leave?? Idc what kind of politics are involved those are your heros! Time and time again they bail you out during your times of need and now when we are in need you just walk out? I'm amazed. I use to have high esteem for them particularly the seedseer.. I really hope they redeem themselves in the expansion..
I really hope that is the case. Also I am by no means saying they should have fought. they could have put some sort of protection over them pending further investigation or something. They didnt even try. They offered no words or try to use their own authority.. Nothing. Just left.

As rude as it was for the 2 of them to just walk out they also didn't have a full compliment of soldiers with them either, just 1 or 2 personal guards. As much as they wanted to help Rauhabahn they weren't in a position to battle an entire city. Plus with the revelation of the CB involvement they needed to get back to their cities to start weeding out any potential risks to their own security. They'll find a way to help Rau.
After Ishgard arc we will go back to Ul'dah and the MSQ will follow Hildibrand's ascension to the throne. He is after all heir to one of the Syndicate's, and he is both immortal and a gentleman of light.
And don't forget his mum beat up Gilgamesh like it's nothing. Not even Ilberd will be able to stop her for 5 seconds.
