NPC skills are always flashier than ours. Remember Y'shtola's version of Protect? It blocks 100% of alil damage. Of course that'd be OP for players, so we get a dumbed down version.

Typical NPC adventurers has a charge-up time for skills we execute in an instant. (E.g. Steel Cyclone, see the gladiators in Halatali)
