Will SE ever ban the original botters?

I think we all know who they are, it doesn't matter what server your on you probably know of someone who was literally online since CE release, 24/7 crafting with one character, farming with another, etc... and no matter what time of day it was they were always there synthing 24/7, never responding to /tells except for a short span (that happened to be almost the same exact time frame every day, when they were actually there).

Has SE tracked unrealistic progress from the beginning? Will the people who obviously cheated their way to r50 in every class in a completely ridiculously short time, back before SP was so easy to come by be punished?

This remains my question. It may not be priority, but I would like to be reassured that SE isn't going to forget or ignore any of it. I will smile when the day comes that they drop the ban hammer, and magically quite a few "well known" people are gone.

They will. I'm sure they're tracking every single bot/RMT reported...but this might only happen for PS3 release, AKA when they start charging subscription fee.

i agree with lienn , because even solving my account problem they dont pay attention to it.

My guess is they don't have a lot of GMs on staff right now. They likely are going after botters, but there are more reports coming in than they can keep up with.

Hopefully when the game goes back to a subscription they can afford to hire on more GMs to deal with the reports. Until then report new bots as you see them and they'll probably get banned somewhere down the line.
