Is there a quick way to Gridania?

I am a new user of Realm, and I saw the cute new event for Easter. However, I'm a low level character and I started out in Uh'Dahl. Is there any quick way to get to Old Gridania so I can participate in this event?
Any help is much appreciated.

From Ul'dah, go to Eastern Thanalan, through Central Thanalan I believe.
Keep heading northeast, across Highbridge.
You'll then be in South Shroud but enemies are about twice your level, so watch out. You can make it if you stay on your toes.
Head north/northwest, and you will be in Central Shroud then. Keep heading north/northeast and you will find the gate to Gridania.

I know... I walked the opposite way when I started out, haha. (From Gridania to Ul'dah)

At level 15 you should unlock Airship travel, and there is actually a quest that send you to Gridania. I would suggest try doing the main quest instead of running. You will have enough of time to finish the quest before the event ends. It shouldn't take longer than a few hours.

I remember that being the first thing I did when I started... exploration, mapping the realm before the story really called for me to head out anywhere. My favorite thing is exploring new places for the first time. It's a special feeling you really only get the first week of a new game or expansion. I look forward to exploring Heavensward before I even get into the meat of the quests just for the fun of exploring.

It gets easier with time.. don't worry if you don't know where everything is yet. Also, chocobo porters are the best thing ever before you get your own mount...maaan.

I did that too... when I finally got access to Vylbrand all I did was map La Noscea...so by the time I had to actually do stuff all those aetherytes were unlocked. Haa..

Yeah, I traveled from Ul'dah to Gridania while just out exploring before getting the airship pass. Exploring is fun. You can't get to Limsa Lominsa early though unless your FC has a house there, with a mini-aetherite you can Teleport to. Both the airship and ferry service are locked behind The Ul'dahn Envoy quest, and you can't run to an island.

Pretty easy trick... on my alt I started in Gridania back then... I let him join FC that had house in the Mist.... I was over to Limsa at level 5

(If a FC has a house the port to it will be on top of your portlist no matter if the housing area unlocked or not)

Best bet is to keep going and unlock airship travel
