I'm just gonna point out this has happened in real life and affects modern politics. What's strange is that, even though they do recognize they attacked the dragons in the first place (and provoked the war), they still think the dragons are the evil ones because Ishgard is "the holy place". These people just came out of nowhere and attacked the dravanians ffs. and they think the dravanians are the bad guys ?![]()
Yeah, I forgot that >_> I should have thought of that though. It's really not the first time Square criticizes religions and politics
Rather than that, I think that Mid challenged us to see if we truly are a warrior of light or just a weak guy pumping every bit of power left in Hydaelyn because we can't do anything alone. Without her blessing, we're just a regular human who can resist primal temper (I think it's because of Mid's protection, or it may be the echo, I'm unclear on that), see some remnants of the past, and... that's it. No more divine protection against evil, we have to do the stuff by our own strengh.
It's the Echo. I'm not aware of Midgardsormr giving anything for what he's taken aside from his occasional commentary. If he wouldn't even tag in to help out against an Ascian whilst taking our measure, I'm not expecting he's providing any assistance whatsoever until convinced.
