So, a thought occurs to me.

Lady Iceheart became Shiva, by allowing Shiva to enter her being and thus generating her form even though Iceheart mention's "Mother's Blessing."

Lord... I mean Midgardsormer then took away our blessing of light and gave us his instead. We have the ability to hear his thoughts, morbid though they are.

At the end of 2.55 with Minfillia able to hear Hydalyn again... would that mean she's now the vessel for Mother Hydalyn?

So... thoughts on how this may pan out come Heavensward? I'm confident Lady Iceheart will be a center antagonist again.

I don't think that we have any sort of "blessing" from Midgardsormr. I imagine he's just invisible to the naked eye because of dragon magic or the like, and we just communicate with him using the echo. I do think that could be what's up with Minfillia though.

As far as we know, Ysayle only has the Echo, not the Blessing of Light. The fact that the NPCs also refer to the Echo as a blessing of Hydaelyn is what kept a lot of us from even noticing that they were different things until Midgardsormr took one away and left the other.

As Mirron said, we don't know that Midgardsormr has given us anything in return for what he took (aside from his wonderful company). Remember, we heard the voice of his disembodied spirit just fine before he took the Blessing or created a new corporeal form to watch over us and see if we are truly worthy of being Hydaelyn's champion.

Not necessarily. I mean, we can't say for sure, can we, but as far as we know there's only one Blessing of Light that's been handed out right now and Midgardsormr's blocked it. All that Minfilia, or anyone, needs to hear Hydaelyn is the Echo, which she's had for some time.

No idea! Based on all the clues in 2.4, I figured we'd learn more about Ysayle in the conclusion. I figured we'd at least have been told whether or not she was the pawn Lahabrea and Elidibus spoke about manipulating in 2.3, and I suspected we'd get a "What have I done!?" moment if that came to light. The fact that we got nothing implies that she's only getting started, I guess.

As has been said several times before in the past, no, the Echo and the Blessing of Light are two separate things, which is why we can still understand Nabriales afterwards, and thus we are also still immune to Primal influence.

Who is to say we aren't Middy's bitch, and have become influenced by him... blocking any primal's attempt?

Key things being... Ysayle can hear Hydalyn. Told us to see the 'Keeper of the Lake' (Middy) and to not "Squander Mother's Gift". That right there should make it clear that for whatever reason... Hydalyn and Middy see eye to eye on something. He got awaoken by Nidhogg, one of his sons. He is with us... 'waiting'.

Midgardsormr = Planet. Ishagard = Nastrond (google it) my own personal speculation, hi Nidhogg... someone hungry to eat some oath-breakers. Those damn pesky Ascians and their 'primal-influence'...

I am really looking forward to finding out more of Iceheart and Midgardsormer , why she wanted us to seek him out etc. I wonder if he told her the truth since she has the echo and can hear his voice also. She said she seeks to stop the war instead of win it for the heretics so i think she knows of the Ascian influence in Ishgard. This would also be why she calls us a blind fool for just following their orders to stop her. Midgardsormer is traveling with us now to see if we are worthy of also learning the truth perhaps just waiting for us to figure it out alone.

In any case i don't think Ysayle will turn out to be the true enemy going forward.

So, did Midgardsormr only seal our blessing, as a test? To see if we're worthy to have it and even have his aid?

If the blessing is tied to Hydaelyn and that there was an image of her looking dark/ turn into Zodiark then getting out blessing removed could be a blessing in disguise?

We are her tied to her as her warrior of light and IF she ends up being consumed by Zodiark then that might also mean that we'll then end up automatically tied to becoming Zodiark's own warrior.

It seems like the echo is a separate thing entirely and that it really is the 1st step in communicating with otherworldly beings.

I'm looking for Ysayle to become one of our closer allies as Heavensward's story deepens, even if only because we've now, somewhat, seen that the black/white dragons-bad/ishgard-good is a farce or are at least on the way there. As others have said, she sent us to Midgar and they both seem to be trying to urge us to stop the war. (Nice to see that we're getting more defined "Saint Shiva" wasn't actually in the wrong!!)
