    Reproducible crash

I have a crashing issue that can be reproduced 100%, at least on my system.

I am trying to complete the Quest "You have chosen Regicide" while escorting Kuplo Kopp I have no issues until I get the to the point where the Malboro and 2x seedlings spawn. Once i kill the enemies and they despawn my game will immediately lock my system occasionally creating a BSOD, but most of the time it freezes completely before one can be generated. I have done it about 6x now, it doesn't seem to make a difference if I do the quest immediately upon logging in or wait a bit.

I have looked through the MEMORY.dmp that is created when it BSOD and the process FFXIV.exe is listed as the culprit.

I run the game via Steam and have re-installed it a couple times. every fix I can think of I have tried. even going as far as a reformat of my hard drive and re-install of Windows 8. any advice would be appreciated

Do you know that the BSOD error code is? If you disable automatic restart on bluescreen it'll give you chance to write down the error number if it vanishes too fast (Windows Key+Pause/Break, Advanced System Settings, Advanced, Start-up and Recovery settings and untick automatically restart)

That'll (hopefully) give a clue as to what the problem is.

Can you list your system specs and do you use an AMD graphics card or more specifically the R6/R9 2xx series cards? For an ingame activity to actually cause a BSOD its causing hardware to play up and I am suspecting that quest might be causing a drastic memory leak.
