So...does anyone know who is this? (North Shroud)

I've tried looking for information about this man, but I haven't found anything, so...might as well ask here.

Over North Shroud at The Bobbing Cork Inn, there's this Roegadyn Thaumaturge NPC (untargetable) on the second floor, who's looking at a painting mumbling the word "Master..." :



There's no mention on who he is, nor who's this master he's talking about, which makes it all mysterious...

Does anyone know who he is exactly?
Or was he just thrown in randomly (in which case, seems a bit strange for something so cryptic...)?

I see...while it's an interesting theory, there's no word about this NPC coming from devs or any official source (either confirming or denying said theory).
The painting though, is a bit intriguing...it does look like the same fallen trunk as the one over Central Shroud, at Bannock (unless it's from a pre-Calamity zone, in which case, there's no way to know the location it depicts).

It's most likely a picture of the Autumn War, which was well pre-Calamity. I think in the picture there looks to be a Chocobo. Which may make it a picture of Beltrant Durendaire and his chocobo Ouranos.

And yeah it's weird, that NPC has a special robe. He's a Thaumaturge and in Gridanian territory, most "warriors" in the area are Lancers or Archers. Louisoix would have been Ahldbhar's Master...course this is just me hopping lol
