    Hi, i'm 50 and i suck....

50 scholar, starting to build tome gear, i have my ilvl 90 relic. Gear is not really the issue, i can't dance. I mean avoiding the aoes from hard mode primals and relic trials.

I thought i had it, i looked at my connection info and i thought i had a 2-3k inbound ping. I was just told it is a byte traffic mesurement.

I've been trying to get better, played with the character/camera based movement, recently i set the camera to always follow because Healing turns me and i didn't know what direction i was facing when i had to run from an aoe. It still doesn't work.

If i can't get this right i see no future for me in this game. Not that i want to quit, but i have to get this right. But i can't.

You can also turn off the motion to actually having to be facing your target to heal. Pan your camera all the way out also.

    I can't do it.

I'm usually spamming actions, looking at the health bars, then boss drops an aoe on me and either i don't see it come at all or i get out just a bit late and eat it to the face.

I can't seem to get copperbell hard done because of that. Biggy, the 2nd boss, has a line aoe with no ground warning. I don't even know what his Wind up looks like and i've died there multiple times, killing the party.

that move is targeted at the tank. if you watch where the tank is it's avoidable easily. or if the tank does like I do, and make sure to always have him 'pointed' away (I know he does his own thing, so pointed isn't really correct, but at least for that move, he'll always turn to the tank)

    okay for starters.

Levels 1-50 should have prepared you to have great hand to eye coord when it comes to healing. That's basics and if you can't grasp that aspect then practice in other tier dungeons you know you can handle.

2nd as a SCH and especially beginner ones , learn to use your Fairy (Eos / Selene). As far as copperbell mine you're just staying clear a AOE should only pop and do high damage if group isn't handling mechaics properly , non-the less i90 should be able to sustain healing with Eos.

Are you using Macros , What Fairy do you use ?

I only have a macro for a bard i don't play. It pulled aggro at his level (no shield oath) and the macro assists the tank. I don't know what macro would be helpful for healer.

If Healing is slow or if there are 8 players i tend to use selene because it just does more for the party. If i anticipate higher dmg because, tank has bad/dps gear, experience with the party, previous dungeon expériences, i use Eos.

I was using a Wireless keyboard at home, ended up switching back to cabled because it missed many keypress in chat and sometimes skills too. While the new one is an improvement, the keys are not exactly in the same spot. Right now i'm at my parent's, using my mom's laptop. New keyboard and different layout again.

Different key layout is also probably a roadblock as by the time you're 50 you've associated all your attacks with the button combination that even moving one else where could take some getting use to.

Also goo sch macros would be

(Use this when ever you're rouse is up)
    /macroicon Rouse
    /ac Rouse
    /wait
    /pac Fey Illumination
    /wait
    /pac Whispering Dawn

    Swift Raise for all healers

    /ac swiftcast
    /wait
    /ac resurrection <t>

Also leave your pets off auto and manually embrace as you would heal but on top of your physick
So Physicak and then Cast embrace too or vice versa

The Whispering Dawn macro is good for DPSing and also good when you know high DMG is coming in once and not in sessions.
That way you can cast a succor and let Eos and Tick healing do the rest or the WHM Medica II/Whispering Dawn combo is always great

Uh, wouldn't it switch to guard as soon as i throw a heal? I think obey just keeps it off the 234 skills.

Also i don't remember seeing swiftcast, what class is it?

Nm, tested it and it stays on steady. As for swiftcast i'm told it's THM 26.

    Thanks for your help.

On the second boss of Copperbell mines HM, I always stand on the little wooden platform to the side and send my pet to heal anyone who gets out of range. On the platform, you will not get hit by any aoe, and most of the room is still in casting range. Macros are really key for playing sch at endgame, so I'd look through this thread and play around with set ups until you find one you like.
