I'm trying to figure out what the best course of action is for getting the abilities I want. Are the abilities you learn determined by your Chocobo's pedigree rank at all? Like, can a G1 just as easily get Choco Cure III as a G9? Do those have to be acquired some other way? I noticed that the tomes for the rank 2 abilities are rather expensive so that kinda implies to me that you either need a high rank Chocobo or learning those abilities is exceptionally rare, but I can't find any real information on this.
