Hi Everyone,
Below are some aspects of the game i still have problems with and some suggestions to go along. I would like some feedback from the dev team regarding these points.
If you agree with these below please like and comment so that we have a better chance of getting some feedback.
If you you guys have other aspects of the game that need fixing i'll edit this post and add them here.
CHAT
Fix the chat,
It's such a basic feature and yet it feels so hard and awkward to use.
User Interface
The UI has too many drop downs and menus. Consolidate and categorize things better. Use simple and beautiful windows with TABS to separate stuff not drop downs. Make UI faster, more responsive. Yes that part has improved a lot but it still feels somehow slow and awkward. unintuitive.
Fonts,
please i beg of you change the in-game fonts! i won't elaborate on this, will just give you an examples.
FFXIV in-game font

AION in-game font

WOW in-game font

Now how much easier is that on your eyes?
Again in the UIU dept, let me drag and drop things! I'm tired of doing everything through menus and drop downs. I just don't understand how this was not done in the first place. Either the engine doesn't support it or your staff got trained on windows 3.0....
Moving windows,
Would it be possible to let us move menu windows around, drag them across the screen?
Actionbars,
We need to be able to see more action bars or make them longer.
Sound/Music
I don't have anything against the music in game, it's beautiful and has that FF feel to it but we need more music and we need to have some atmospheric music like these... music that bring up emotion, create an atmosphere and immerses you completely.
It's just examples don't pay attention to the game it's from.

NPC
Voice acting, NPCs need voice acting please! something so small as having NPCs say a little sentence when interacting with them goes a long way to make things feel more alive.
Cut Scenes should all be voice acted(I'm only R22 so i don't know if they all are but they should and I'm talking about both CGI and in-game quest/story scenes)
Make NPCs move! make them walk around town, walk around their little area.... make some NPCs walk around the city and sell goods. Have some NPCs travel from city to city or from city to camps. Have NPCs guards and soldiers walk around town, patrolling.
Shops, could we make it that when interacting with an NPC who sells good that we get the a buy/sell window right away? Less steps, less things to click, Make it pop up as soon as you talk to the NPC and then have buying in one tab, selling in the other tab. Simple.
Real time world wide events.
Now this would be really interesting if we can have that in-game. Some scheduled and non-scheduled events like beastmen or imperials attacking cities.
Jump
hope this still in the works, the collision detection fixes did marvels but there's still quite a few areas where i have to go around a small platform i could have just jumped onto. Plus jump gives you more a feel of freedom.... yes they will be spammers and for those i say put a jump cooldown, like running in FPSs games have a cooldown.
Market Wards
I'll make this quick, replace the whole thing with a Market system a la EVE online. (AKA AH without the bidding part)
Delete retainers and just leave the option of having a personal bazaar on your character like we do now. From what I've read around the forums i think 80-90% agree that a market system will be best.
Quests
Now this has been talked about before and well i didn't see the dev comment on it at all. Quests are plain boring in FFXIV. More then in any other mmo i played out there. Not only are they boring but the reward is not worth the effort one bit. Like someone said before "there's nothing like running around town for a mere 200sp..." Quest need to give better rewards, at least when it comes to SP points. I honestly rather do quests like "kill X amount of dodos or bring me X amount of wolf pelts" then quests like go to the other end of the world, talk to one NPC and run all the way back here....
Let us gain SP from monsters killed for quests.
Quest chains
Make it so that when you finish a quest, it will unlock another quest from the same NPC or another.. make these quests take you from one place to another and help you discover the world and progress from low level areas to higher level ones.
Public quests
these are from Warhammer...(really one of the only things i liked about that game) Quests that activate when entering a specific area, any player in that area at that time can take part in the quest, regardless if they are in the same party or not.
That's all i can think of for now!
