Once the game comes off PS3 and has some more resources to play with, this would be a great idea (imo) to put into Raid/Trial bosses.

More EPIC -> More fun -> More players!

Um, you do realize that there are numerous PS3 games with slow motion replays complete with additionwl effects, right? Some of them even manage it in 1080p. I'm not going to get into the whole PS3 capability argument you are clearly aiming to start, there is no point. The problem is notthe capability of the device, it's the additionalprogramming needed to shoehorn such a feature, a featurethat is not exactly suited to an MMORPG in any case.FFXIV is an MMORPG, not a online multiplayer brawler.

Go play Kingdom Hearts, because that's exactly what I thought of from your title. Perhaps that's what you're looking for.

The resources going into would probably be too great to warrant development, and with the repeatable content, I don't want to watch that last sword swing again. Maybe for 1P Duty bosses, but the program would have to find the attacks, reproduce them because y'know, in engine, and most players would just Cancel -> Skip Cutscene.

I thought Skyrim, when you have the random chance to get a cool-looking extra sloppy kill. (Was disappointed at first because archers didn't get them....but thankfully they added it in. Heck yes I'd like to see my arrow rip a guys head off, please.)

Anyway. It would sort of break the pacing for me, so if they added something like that as long as I could turn it off then sure.

Yeah Skyrim has definitely done something just like this. I'm not aware of other games that have though.
