Monk Skill Speed

So I currently have a problem with Monk. That is I have too much skill speed. This wasn't done intentionally more just adding higher ilvl gear as it dropped. I am currently sitting at 509 SkS. I clip dots/buffs by seconds not milliseconds. But I am about to retune my gear and wanted to check to find out what the optimum SkS is for Monk.

This doesn't even mention the TP issue. I blasted a target dummy last night and it felt like I was popping invig 30 seconds in.

506 is a lot of sks. I have around 458, that's enough for me to last for about 4 min 20 second in a striking dummy and I never had tp issues in final coil unless I died or start daydreaming and mistimed my invigorate. You should go back and look at your gears and see what you can trade off for some other stats.

Thank you! I wanted to retune but wanted a number to shoot for so I know how much I need to dump. I will start with my Sphairai Zenith!

The most you need is 410 to be able to do 5 actions using PB, any more than that wastes TP. Even with 410 I still need goad once or twice per fight in fcob.

You can use 5 actions in pb with way less sks than that, I would almost say base is enough even though I havent tried it at base. My personal opinion is 400, everything fits and lines up perfectly.

You can indeed use 5 actions with base SS (340). I prefer having around 400 SS minimum as well.

I run 409 skspd, arbitrarily.
It's possible to get the most out of PB with lower, but it feels better with ~400 and keeping greased lightning up while handling mechanics is subjectively easier too.

I run base skill speed because FCoB has been mean and won't drop much monk loot for our main monk so I have 2 pieces. And I get a good 5 skill PB and can do ToD after and keep GL up, it's tight, but if you don't mess up it's fine.
