    Considering Moving Servers

I'm currently on a NA server (Lamia) but am finding that the majority of it is rather quiet when I am online so I've found running later level content to be a bit hard.

I've been thinking about switching to a EU server for a week or so now, wondering if this would be better for me. To have a more active player base when I'm online and be able to find statics etc to join up to run content with.

So I'm looking for other possible members who have switched from NA to EU and their finding after doing so, has you been able to run the content you were unable too easier?

Do you find the servers you play on more friendly and active?

Also any other findings you have found, anything really I'm just looking for pro's and cons for both.

Oh and how hard is it to switch servers? is it instant or do you have to wait a good time?

Should be instant from what I've heard. It would help if you put your usual play times so folks know whether their server or FC is a good fit or not. ^^

It pretty much is instant - I transferred from my original 1.0 server (Ridill, a JP server) to Balmung (US server), and once the payment was successful, I simply logged into the game, and my character data showed up in the new server group pretty much straight away.

As for transferring to a 'EU' server, it should be noted this is actually a misnomer, as there are no true 'EU' servers at this time - the servers stated as being 'EU' are still actually part of the NA server groups and are physically located in the same place (Montreal Canada).

The only benefit for choosing a 'EU' designated server is they are a place where German and French speakers are more likely to be found if you happen to have that version of the client. I'm not sure about server time though, as from what I understand even the NA servers are timed to the JP server group.

I'll put first that I've actually gone ahead and switched servers, I did a bit of research on what server to choose and picked a FC and I'm quite happy so far, it's certainly a lot more busy then where I was before.

Sorry maybe I didn't really explain myself very well lol. When I say I was looking to transfer to a EU server it's because of my play time. I'm usually coming online at about 10am my time too around midnight. Which is pretty much when the NA server I was on became active. I was a member of a good FC but to be honest without putting it down as it was a lovely group of people, the times didn't really fit with me though.
