And only certain beds at that. We can't lie down on our bed in the inn except when we log out. We can't lie down in the various beds that are found in other buildings around Eorzea (at least none of the ones I've tried). It seems to be only the housing bed that allows /doze to work. It'd be nice to have it work anywhere.
