    Well, he/she is apparently distraught over how leveling is handled in the game, so I guess lamentations are occurring ...
    so maybe by saying "laments terms" they wished to convey "in terms of (my) lamentations" ...
    Nah, probably not.

    As for the idea itself, eh ... I like the system in place more, although I'm glad they are moving away from classes. The proposed system seems unnecessary with the added level of complexity that doesn't really bring a lot to the table, IMO. It would also make content balance kind of difficult.
