In short it should be like in 1.0?What they should of done is given you an adventurer ranking
And all accumulated experience points from every weapons level levels up your adventurer rank.
Secondly in combination with this each weapon should have a skill level on it as opposed to the class leveling system.
adventurer ranking = physical level (resulting in to be overpowered with physical level 50 on a class with class rank 5 as an example)
weapon level = class rank (you earned skill points instead of exp (exp was for physical level) and you learned weapon skills instead of class skills)
It was already here during 1.0
It got changed because people don't liked it.
It is wrong to bring it back.

The OP complains about all that is wrong with this game, ok, but if he is truly unhappy with the way this game operates, is he still paying to play is my question to him, cause no one is forcing him to pay to play, he is paying for what the game is, it isn't you pay them, then get to dictate what you think they need to do. Based on your opinion, this game isn't good because it apparently isn't as complicated as you would like. So, if you aren't happy, you are of course free to share your opinion here as everyone else is, but, other than complaining in a forum post in general discussion, why not save your energy for more valuable purposes, or even just go and play a different game?
Of all the things that don't need work, leveling isn't one of them. This... just doens't make any sense.
I rather like the overall design of the game.
I dont deny having many suggestions for the game, but to say everything is wrong?....not imo!

Communication skills need a little work. I am also not on board with your ideas.

It is wrong to bring it back.Well, tbh, I never got to experience 1.0, so I may not 100% understand how badly it was implemented. I personally liked much of what I've seen of the old system, though, perhaps if they could have just made it a tad bit quicker and cleaner. I like the Physical Level/Class Rank separation. I like the (idea of the) Stamina Gauge. I like the the way you built up TP and then spent it to power weaponskills, and how combos could actually help you save TP when done right. I like how the gear was wearable by anyone, but had 'recommended' classes that got max benefit out of it.
Ultimately, there were two things that messed it all up: 1) They released the game without enough testing and polish. 2) MMO gamers don't like 'different.'

With the physical level you gained stats points for the character, while leveling up the class/weapon only gave you new skills.
Problem 1: Stats were character bounded, not class bounded. You can level up THM, put all points into Int, change to MRD and have a MRD with a lot of Int. In ARR the people complain that SMN and SCH share the same stat points. Now imagine how it will be if all classes/jobs share the same stat points. There was a way to reset the stats, but it needed time.
Problem 2: the difference of power between someone with (as an example) 25/30 THM and 25/50 THM
