    Square, if the Egi's are going to stay, can you at least give them a model change?

    Right now the Egi's look like bite sized candy. Not intimidating or threatening in the slightest.

    Why cant' the Egi's look like this?

    That Ifrit kicks the crap out of our current Ifrit. Its still an Egi, but it actually has more characteristics of the primal its based off.

    SE hasn't commented on this since like October 2013. I quoted them in another forum. I know that they're never going to be the same size as they are in FFXI. I am hoping that maybe we'll get new models and maybe a slight size increase in heavensward (probably not going to happen).

    Other than looking like it's using Directs 11, what is the actual model difference?

    Edit: I see slight increase of the shoulders and use of molten rock as the core building block. Not hating on the artist, just looks like the same Egi with enhanced graphics that the game currently doesn't have.

    i have to agree lilyarel in fan festival 2014 people ask for ADS Mount and now we have that mount more them 10k people ask for this changes to Egi artwork design but no answer haven't been give them. are this agi suppose to by like elemental like on FFXI ? also what happen with open world primal s ? sorry for my spelling but i feel need to said as customer and Fan ! i need to brings this attention .

    They answered this over a year ago and said they aren't going to change the current Egi but going forward they'll look at try to please the community. Also yes, Egi design combines Primal with Element sprites.

    Personally, I think the egis look fine (pls don't take away chicken nugget-egi).

    I think the only thing I would change is the colour scheme, instead of solid colours around their entire body maybe just re-texture them?

    Took some time but I dug this up for you.

    We discussed your feedback about the design of the egi with the development team. As was mentioned previously during the Beta test, the design planner reiterated that egi were designed to be a manifestation of a percentage of power taken from the primals and are intentionally designed to appear differently from the primal. As such, we aren't planning on changing the look of egi at higher levels.

    We will however continue to take in your feedback when creating new egi that will be added in the future.


    The key issue with changing it now is people have grown accustom to their pets and changing mid way risks pissing people off. Yes their is a vocal presents on the forums about this issue but the forums don't represent an accurate picture. People normally head to the forums to make a complaint, not grant praise to the devs for their choices. Think about it, when you are satisfied with a store and they ask you to fill out a satisfaction survey do you fill it out or wad it up?
