Story summary 2.0-2.5

HOKAY full summary of 2.00 through 3.00 (Main Scenario) is polished, approved, and posted.

Part One: 2.0 through 2.4
Part Two: 2.5 through 3.0

These will be consolidated into one reference post as time goes on. I'll also be starting The Story So Far... in 3.00 and continuing it in isolated posts from now on, consolidating into single posts at version changes. That said, though, there's still a few 2.0-related things to cover in large posts, isn't there, so on to the next project!

As always, don't be shy about pointing out typos or errors or just asking where I got a specific piece of information from.

Dude...if you don't watch the 2.55 cutscenes as you progress through the quests, then you're really cheating yourself of a lot of great stuff!

Especially poor old Alphie after the fall...

But i beg you, do NOT miss any of the Uldah scenes...just don't!

When it comes to trying to predict how unknowns will be revealed in the future, I imagine there's going to be a lot of different points of view. My accuracy on those is about as good as a coin toss, lol. I'll put forward all the evidence I can find and talk about what I think seems most likely, but I doubt that what I'm known for will ever be my accuracy in predicting how the little specifics play out.

When it comes to summaries like these, though, I mean to be sure, even if it means digging into how the other three languages chose to frame the situation to find clarity. If something seems amiss, do let me know (and thanks for the kind words)!

If you're doing a write up for one of the things I think you're planning on doing a write up for... the script differences are as night and day. Hoo boy. I'll do my best to keep you honest without sounding like a jerk (I've been told the jerk comes standard), though I somehow don't think my input will be necessary once you actually get started.

Thanks for the write-up! I hope you'll forgive me for using it as a jumping off point for my massively condensed version on Wikipedia (approximately 1/7 as long, phew!). While we're on the topic, I wonder if you'd be willing to share any typed up game scripts you might have saved on your computer to use as references on the article, as that'd be a huge help.
