Story summary 2.0-2.5

Hey everyone! I fell behind a while ago on story quests and skipped all cutscenes trying to catch up and caught up the night before 2.55. I read a very good write up about the 1.0-2.0 story and I was curious if anything existed for the story from 2.0 to 2.5? I would like to watch it before continuing the 2.55 story quests. I have very limited playtime so I don't want to spend it watching the cutscenes and reading quests.

I was hoping there was something similar to the 1.0 writeup for the 2.0 story. Thanks in advance everyone!

Interesting reading the starting storylines for other city-states. I started in Limsa, so I only saw the Serpent Reaver plot. I find it rather telling that whereas Limsa and Gridania's problems concern beast-tribes, Ul'dah's opening arc concerns the Monetarists.

Also, interesting to hear that the Everschade has a huge crystal stored inside. I was wondering why that tree was so sacred.

Just wanted to chime back in and say, "Man, did I underestimate that, or what?" on the 2.55 update. I've been chasing too many rabbits between a mostly finished Story So Far... update, several new lore-by-topic articles' research, trying to figure out the best ways to expand Lorecast since so many people are requesting it, and just generally trying to keep my spirits up.

Even considering that, the 2.5 + 2.55 sections took much longer than I expected, given that so little information is able to be glossed over and so much more of it than I expected required re-running things and doing translation to ensure I was interpreting the tone properly for summarisation. I'm throwing all the tomes back open right now and not closing them until I've got one less rabbit to track. Apologies for the wait.

Just another update on this (apologies for a double post, as always), but it's finally done and passed off for approval and posting. Fusionx has offered to do pictures so I can move along to the next write-up project (well underway, thanks to how often I got distracted by this 2.5-through-3.0 post). I'll pop back in (my first triple post!? /panic) when it's up. Apologies once more for the wait; it ended up being 1/4 as long as 2.0 to 2.4 once all was said and done with clarifying tone, reasoning, and connections @.@
