WHAT ARE THEY THINKING!??!?!
Honestly they convince that they're working on these things behind the scenes for 12 months and what we get is a warp with an un-interactive cutscene?
what... the... hell...
Honestly I have no words. So much for airship battles and air-pirate attacks on deck, viewing the world from above and pretty much everything else.
Can you please at least start a charity account where we can donate money so that you could hire a new coder to work with both of the guys on your staff?!
Honestly why would we use this warping method instead of the anima debug-feature that's still in the game if it doesn't include any kind of gameplay?
The letter just came out and people are already making "AIRSHIP RIDES NEED TO BE RIDES" type of threads. Just be happy they put in Horsebirds and the Airships to begin with, they can work on it later when they have their other work stabilized.
I know these things will happen because I'm Gath, and I'm better than all of you.
Because it's a temporary setup, as they have told us months ago. It'll probably after the map changes that they put in the in game ride. Seriously, I cannot fathom how anyone who has been on these boards for long could be surprised by this.
But if they are going to make them actual content why not release it when the airships actually mean something. Let's be honest here we're not getting anything added to the gameplay other than one cutscene. I was really looking forward to this since the boat rides are so bland. Oh well at least there's other stuff in the patch that's bound to be good like the chocobos. I don't see how that feature can be botched in any way.
This is actually a good suggestion as it allows for fast travel with a chance of air pirates attack still possible.Heya!
I bet this is a cool feature and has to be enjoyed, but I'd like to see how the Cutscenes will occupy our time.
Also, like this it will be possible to have air pirates attacks in a random factor, so the Cutscenes will change and when the enemy is defeated we'll see another cutscene, and then we land.
Without Enemies:
Depart Cutscene -> Landing Cutscene
With Enemies:
Depart Cutscene -> Incoming Enemies Cutscene -> No More Enemies Cutscene -> Landing Cutscene
What do you think about it?
See ya!
I say yes for any kind of content. If it would somehow make the world feel a bit more cohesive that would be even better. I'd like to be thrown overboard by mobs at some point and land on the ground in a weakened state.
Imo it's not botched, it will be well done even if it's a temporary alternative to fast travelling. Airship won't be taking you anywhere in the world so animas are still needed and airships saves you animas for traveling between towns. At least we might get to see more people in LL and Gridania. But if they are going to make them actual content why not release it when the airships actually mean something. People kept complaining about it so they worked to put it in. No point in delaying this just for you. They are revamping the maps, why would the work on having a ship instanced overworld when it's all going to change? They would have worked for nothing.
Please just take what's given to you as a temporary situation, enjoy your fast rides between town and your anima saver until they can release a proper airship ride + events.
