SE help reduce allagan leather prices

SE please help, since 2.4 is released and Gill sellers are controling allagan leather prices on all servers. this is rediculus. either increase the drop rate of them in 1st coil, or let the desynth give a little more. i am just trying to collect them this week to craft somethign for our new tank in the raid grp and he is under geared, i dot not wish to pay gil seller prices for such items. please do something about those gil sellers controlling prices of such items thanks. every patch i wait for you to fix this but , nothing is done so i had to write something. those who agree plz write here too thx,

Gil sellers typically make things less expensive due to the influx of stuff they farm.

I don't see how gil sellers could be controlling the prices on them. They don't usually take the time to gear up (I know I've never seen one in anything higher than militia gear) and they'd have to level up desynthesis in order to get them in any larger quantities than one at a time. They usually just spam dungeons for the gil reward.

seeing as how to get allagan leather is limited to only a few ways, almost none of which most gil sellers would be able to do, its easy to see that the price is set by players seeing that there is a big demand for these things.

well for one i am sure they using bots to farm t4, and being gil sellers, they control the price of alagan leather by buying any cheap ones from the mb , and then seting the prices on servers. this item shud not be 250k+ it's a bit crazy....

If they were farming T4 for Allagan leather, that would increase supply and push prices down, not up. Econ 101.

Prices are high because the supply is limited and demand is very high.

Players look for opportunities like that too though, not just gil sellers.

Gil sellers don't typically flip items on the market board with their gil, though. They sell it for RL cash. It seems way more likely that it's a player with a large amount of gil trying to corner a market by reselling the leathers at a profit.

In any case, bots farming T4 doesn't seem very likely to me. Have you ever seen a tank bot in a dungeon? All they do is autoattack one mob at a time. They can't hold hate worth half a crap and they don't use defensive cooldowns; they just stand there and die. Outdated though the content may be, Dreadnaughts still hit friggin hard. They can one-shot anything other than a tank (and could probably even one-shot a poorly geared tank), so even if they have healers spam healing the tanks, all that ends in is two dead healers and the rest of the party soon following. Seriously, just farm some T4 yourself if you need the leathers. It's a 5 minute run at most.

sometimes i ask nicely and he let me have it, but usually nobody want to pass items they can trade for seals. that's another thing that hurts the people that desynth like me, maybe SE can reduce prices on grand company seal items and related quests so people won't be so eagger to lot items so much to trade for seals, items that can be very usefull for desynth, end up being traded for silly gc seals.. it's sad.

Why should they pass? Zodiac relics take 80k seals. Lucis tools take 80k seals apiece as well.

Then get them yourself. Not that hard. I usually haul out about 5 from doing a few T4.

If you have a group to let the desynther have the drops it's even easier.

Why dont you just buy him the piece of gear he needs? Sounds like it might be cheaper to buy it pre made then buying ur own mats to make it for him.
