Someone once suggested Trapper - harvests bones, hides, and meat. It'd probably work a bit more like FSH than it would MIN or BTN, though.

Though it's kind of hilarious to imagine it DOES work like MIN or BTN: a trapper walks up to a Pieste, opens up a gathering window, and starts hacking away with a skinning knife or something while the Pieste patiently waits. XD

They do that in WoW with a skill called "Skinning", actually. You have to kill the thing first; skinning can then be used to essentially create additional loot drops of hide (which you don't get at all if you don't have skinning).

could of been me lol but that was soooooooooooo long ago if it was me ur talking about lol id still love to see a trapper type class added tho gives other ways to collect skins/beast products

They added gardener a while back. All it requires is having a personal house or access to a FC house garden.

Gathering plants/trees, gathering ore, gathering fish. I can't thing of *any* MMO that has gathering outside those three classes. Well, WoW has Skinning, but hide drops are already set up to happen for anybody who gets a kill here.
