If everyone in the party is over-levelled and synced down, you're not "filling spots" in anything though, are you?
I don't mind being synced to a super-low level instance when there's even one person who it's actually level appropriate for, but it seems like a huge failure in the sorting process to sync everyone down for the benefit of nobody in the party. Surely if that happens it should be allocating you to the highest-level instance everyone in the party qualifies for or something like that, at least then there's a chance that somebody might get something useful out of it...
